Sophie & James - Gloucester Cathedral - Dumbleton Hall Hotel
Cheltenham wedding photographers Jane and Oli will always remember the wedding of Sophie and James in the amazing setting of Gloucester Cathedral.
On one of the hottest days of the year so far I dropped Jane with Sophie and her Bridesmaids at Dumbleton Hall to document the Bridal preparations whilst I drove to Gloucester Cathedral to meet up with James and the Groomsmen.
One of the many benefits of having two wedding photographers is that we are able to 'Divide and Conquer'!
Never one to be late Sophie arrived bang on 1 o'clock and was thrilled because due to a concert later in the day all of the seating had been arranged to allow an unhindered (albeit with trepidation) 100 metre walk through the West door upto the nervously waiting James.
We were privileged to be allowed to photograph the ceremony from the organ loft which offers amazing views down into the naive with the East window as a backdrop.
After the ceremony all of the guests formed a procession led by Sophie and James out through the Cloisters for photographs on the lawns overlooked by the iconic Cathedral Tower.
From one spectacular backdrop to another, Sophie and James chose Dumbleton Hall near Evesham to host their reception.
This is one of our favourite venues with acres of beautiful gardens, as wedding photographers we were spoilt for choice.
After dinner once the temperatures had dropped and the sun was beginning to set we enjoyed a final mini photoshoot on the hillside overlooking Dumbleton Hall before heading off for the first dance and pig roast!
Jane and Oli would like to thank all of Sophie and James's family and friends for their fun and welcoming nature, we hope that you like the results!
